According to WEBMD – One cup of chopped kale contains 33 calories and 9% of the daily value of calcium, 206% of vitamin A, 134% of vitamin C, and a whopping 684% of vitamin K. It is also a good source of the minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus.
Vitamin K has been linked to the prevention and reversal of Cancerous cells.
CUCUMBERS
According to Natural News – Cucumbers are a good source of B vitamins which will help give you lot’s of energy. Cucumbers also contain three types of lignans which have a strong history of research in connection with reduced risk of several cancer types, including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer and prostate cancer.
Cucumber juice contains a hormone which is needed by the cells of the pancreas for producing insulin which has been found to be beneficial to diabetic patients.
Keep the skin on, it contains a good amount of Vitamin C.
MINT
According to Pak Tribune, there was a research study done by Ashok Sharma in India where Mint was applied with Basil to cancerous tumors. The results were astounding. According to Health Diaries.com, Studies show that myristicin, an organic compound found in parsley, inhibits tumor formation and fights against oxidized molecules. Myristicin can also neutralize carcinogens like benzopyrene in cigarette smoke that can pass through the body, consequently fighting against colon and prostate cancer.
CELERY
Celery contain a phytochemical that research suggests has strong anti-inflammatory action. Plant components (phytochemicals) appear to have the ability to protect us from harmful inflammation, which can increase the risk of cancer, heart disease and insulin resistance.
WALNUTS
According to a study at the Marshall University School of Medicine in West Virginia. Mice were fed a daily diet with the human equivalent of two ounces (60 g) of walnuts a day. Compared to mice fed a control diet, the walnut eaters had significantly decreased breast tumour incidence and a slower rate of tumour growth.
Walnuts are also high in antioxidants and Omega 3 which can help against a number of diseases, including inflammatory diseases.
